Sharon K. (Shroyer) Young

Sharon K. Young, 73, of Rockford passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Divine Nursing Home. She was born October 13, 1952 in Wapakoneta to Donald and Jennie (Miller) Shroyer. They both preceded her in death. 

She is survived by her son: Glen Young of Ohio City, daughter: Kate (Mike) Strickland of Mendon, four grandchildren: Johnathan (Katie) Young, Alexandria (Luke) Manns, Justin (Brooklyn McElligott) Strickland, Taylor (Hannah) Strickland, eight great grandchildren: Mason, Payton, Quinn, Charlie, Meredith, Oliver, Sawyer, Virginia, and her brother: Victor Shroyer of Wapakoneta.

She is also preceded in death by her daughter: Jennifer, her daughter in-law: Mary, her grandson: Michael, and eight brothers and sisters.

Sharon had several occupations in her lifetime including factory work and cooking at the Ramblers Roost Restaurant.  She enjoyed reading, driving around looking at scenery, and going to garage sales.  She also loved dogs and especially loved spending time with her family.

There will be private family services at a later date.
