Patricia (Compton) Osburn

Patricia Osburn, 84, of Delphos, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at Mercy Health, St. Rita’s Hospital.  She was born on February 6, 1941, to Jesse Rex and Edna Grace (Williams) Compton. They both preceded her in death. She married Robert Osburn on July 11, 1959.  He preceded her in death on September 11, 2006.

Patricia is survived by her children, Robert (Jody) Osburn, Jr., Shari Osburn, and Tami Herron, Shelly Siefker; grandchildren, Misty Holdgreve, Steve (Megan) Holdgreve, Amanda (Bobby) Hall, Nick Osburn, Jordan Herron, Brandan (Kayja Thomas) Herron, Logan (Madi Bland) Herron, and Evan Siefker; great-grandchildren, Johnathan Brooks, Cole Brooks, Hannah Wheeler, Aidan Holdgreve, Shawn Boswell, Kalel Herron, Ari Hall, and two on the way; sisters, Helen Strayer and Robin (David) Wollenhaupt; sister-in-law, Joan Compton; brother-in-law, Richard McCoy; and several nieces & nephews.

Patricia is also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Compton; her brothers-in-law, Gary Strayer, Donald Osborne, and Bill McNamee; sisters-in-law, Mary McCoy and Lou Ann Osborne; and a special niece & nephew.

Patricia attended Delphos Jefferson High School. She worked as a nurse's aide for 48+ years at both Sarah Jane and Vancrest nursing homes. Work was her passion, especially caring for the people. Patricia enjoyed cooking for her family, motorcycle trips, going to the lake, and fishing.  She especially loved watching her grand & great–grandchildren grow up and spending time with them.   

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Reverend Harry Tolhurst will be officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, and one hour before the funeral service at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
