Karen L. Frankhouser, 74, of Junction City, OH, passed away on April 28, 2025, in Zanesville. She was born in Lima, OH, on March 6, 1951, to Ralph F. and Mary E. (Clark) Stewart. They both preceded her in death. On February 14, 1980, she was united marriage to James W. Frankhouser, who passed away on March 1, 2018.
Karen is survived by two brothers, Larry (Deb) Stewart of Gomer and Eric (Robin) Stewart both of Delphos; and many nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her brothers, Terry Stewart and Garry Stewart; brother-in-law, Danny Russell York; sister-in-law, Cheryle M. York;, brother-in-law, Allan Frankhouser; and sister-in-law, Mary Frankhouser.
Karen was a 1969 graduate of Gomer High School. She worked at the Phillips factory in Ottawa and later as a civilian worker for the Ohio National Guard in Columbus. In Marysville, Karen co-owned an antique store with her husband. Together, they liked to go to antique auctions. They enjoyed traveling together, especially to Florida where they eventually settled. They also enjoyed fishing in Canada.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m., on May 10, 2025, at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the Morrison House – Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care in Zanesville.
