Charles Parsels, 87, passed away peacefully at Scioto Rehabilitation Center on November 30, 2025. He was born March 1, 1938, in Napoleon, Ohio, to Frank W. and Frances Marie (Bost) Parsels. They both preceded him in death. On September 14, 1959, he married Audrey Conkey. She preceded him in death on February 1, 2015.
He is survived by one son, Eric (Kelly) Parsels of Grove City; two daughters, Lori (Wayne) Williams of Elida and Lisa (Brad) Eichhorst of Manchester, MD; grandchildren: Brooke (Wesley) Liebrecht, Kayla (Zac) Mull, Jacob Eichhorst, Lydia Eichhorst, Dylan Parsels, Jarod Parsels, AJ Pessel, and Kyle (Alyssa) Pessel; great grandchildren: Easton, Hayden, and Hadley Liebrecht, Brantley and McKenna Mull; and great-granddaughter, Quinn Pessel.
He was also preceded in death by his sister and brother in law: Mary and Marty Dickmander, and infant brother, Michael.
Chuck was a graduate of Napoleon High School. In high school, he was a member of the varsity "N" Club. Chuck was an athlete and was offered college football scholarships. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Chuck worked for the DT&I railroad retiring as a conductor. He was a painter and an avid woodworker, making carvings out of large chunks of wood, using a chainsaw. He liked outdoor activities, including hunting. Chuck also enjoyed watching football.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Haddix will be officiating. Burial will be in Napoleon at Hoy Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
